Dec. 5-9: Makerspace and Hour of Code
In celebration of Computer Science Education Week, Smith is hosting makerspace and Hour of Code activities this week in the library! Parents, please consider coming in to assist during the projects. We will need the most help on Friday from 10:30-2. Shifts are 47 minutes each, and no computer experience is necessary! Contact Gabe Grana or Anne Clark for more info.
Music Monday: Code and make music with Scratch, Garageband, and our midi keyboards.
Newsday Tuesday: Create your own newscast with VIDCODE, and summarize 2016 by making a news collage.
Makerspace Wednesday/Thursday: Learn about 3D design, learn programming with code.org tutorials, and participate in our earbud-wrap design challenge.
Force Friday: Take apart old computers like Rey, travel the galaxy by programming BB8 (code.org), and create a Star Wars inspired song (GarageBand).
