Gift Card Drive!

Greetings Smith Families,

As we return from Thanksgiving break and begin to think about the holidays I would like to ask your family to consider helping other Smith families.

Students who receive free and reduced breakfast and lunch eat two meals a day at school every day. At Smith, one in every four students receives free and reduced breakfast and lunch. The families of these students experience a huge financial strain having to provide two additional meals for all of their children each day for two weeks.

As a Smith community, I’m hoping that we can come together to provide assistance for these families so that they can focus more on spending time together during the holidays rather than stressing over finances. Please consider purchasing gift cards for Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Walmart or Target in any amount. The gift cards that are donated will be distributed based on need during the week of the December 15th. Donations can be mailed to the school or dropped off in the main office for Tina Moore.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will directly benefit students at Smith. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Tina Moore
